Chili Extravaganza 2009

Janesville Area 7-02 Special Olympics would like to know, "Who is the best of the best?" We are looking for all Chili Cookers, Chicken Wingers, Rib Rack Smokers, and Desert Bakers to compete in the Second Annual Janesville Area Special Olympics "Chili Extravaganza" Cookoff. If you have the "Worlds Best" Chili, Chicken wings, Ribs or Desert then come and support Janesville Area 7-02 Special Olympics Atheletes by entering an OPEN CHILI, CHICKEN WINGS, RIBS and DESSERT cooking competition. The event is open to all amature and professional chefs who would like to find out if they are the best in the Rock County area. The event will be held on May 2nd 2009 at the UAW Local 95 Union Hall 1795 Lafayette St. in Janesville Wisconsin. Map and Directions

Come enjoy the day with us and help raise money for a good cause. Gates open to the public at 11:00 a.m. for food tasting and the days events. Don't miss your chance to taste some of the best chili, chicken wings, ribs and dessert in all of Rock County by purchasing tasting cups for only $5.00.

Cooking and Judging Class

Saturday, Aprin 25nd at 1:00pm at the UAW Hall parking lot there will be a competition cooking demonstration. The demonstration will include a 10x10 cooking set-up, lists of items that a competition cook will need, and some tips to be a competition cooker. The demonstration will be held by Clate Bogan, who has been competing at the KCBS BBQ competitions. The Chili Extravaganza is a fun cooking competition, a chance to see how your food compares to others. The demonstration will help the first time competitive cooks with ideas and a few tricks of the trade. Please plan to attend if you are interested in this demonstration. Map and Directions
